The Centre for Energy Economics Research and Policy (CEERP) is an academic research group that is a result of collaboration and partnership between Heriot-Watt University and BP plc. The Centre is based within the Department of Economics at the Edinburgh Business School.

Energy Research at Heriot-Watt

CEERP's latest research output highlights a series of contributions of the Centre to the fields of Energy Economics, Econometrics, Economic Growth and Econometric Software.

Erkal Ersoy authored a new empirical working paper on the relationship between oil price fluctuations and the US economy.

Mark Schaffer and Julian Fennema together with colleagues at BP authored a background paper for BP’s annual Energy Outlook on 200 years of economic development and energy demand.

Glen Bramley contributed to the analysis of the impact of climate change on housing and property markets as part of the EPSRC-funded SNACC (Suburban Neighbourhood Adaption for Changing Climate) project.

TARBASE (Technology Assessment for Radically Improving the Built Asset Base) is a low-carbon buildings project funded by the Carbon Trust and the EPSRC.

David Jenkins contributed to a study on fuel poverty and low-carbon synergies in social housing in the UK, funded by the Carbon Crucible Programme.
